I want a tattoo on my foot.?

I have a small tattoo on my left ankle, I want it covered with some sort of floral design and the tattoo running down onto my foot. I have come across a lot of negative comments surrounding foot tattoos. Please advise as i would love one done, but would hate to regret it later on.

The foot holds color REALLY WELL. My friend got her first tatt on her foot. That was 7yrs ago and it still looks almost brand new. It does hurt like hell on the foot because it's all bone and nerves. I think your idea is great.

Because you are covering up another tattoo I would make sure that your artist has done plenty of cover-ups and always check out their work. For the cover-up part you may have to choose some darker colors in order to get a good cover-up.

Reply:I have a foot tattoo and it rocks expecially when I wear heals... Everyone has a different tollerance for pain....My best friend got her's done and you would have thought that she was having a baby...But when I got mines done it was a slight sting but I didn't feel like I was about to die.....So honestly it depends on your tolerance for pain!

Reply:I love foot tats and I'm thinking of having one done myself. Just be 100% sure of what you want, then go for it. Apparently it is very painful though, but as they say, no pain no gain!
Reply:I have a foot tattoo. It did hurt more than most but it is such an awesome place to show some ink. Take extra care while it's healing if you can. I have had mine for years and it looks like new still. Good luck!
Reply:I am 62 and if I had a tattoo on my foot now, I would be most embarrassed. I know that when people are young they think they will stay that way for ever but believe me youth doesn't last long. Just give it some thought.
Reply:I have a foot tattoo and I love it! It did hurt like hell while I was getting it; but after a while you just kinda zone out and don't think about the pain. Taking care of it is hard because for the first couple of weeks while it's healing you need to wear only flip flops so that it doesn't rub on anything. So that might suck if you have a job that doesn't allow you to wear flip flops. And after it's healed, whenever you do wear sandals or anything that will expose your tattoo, you should wear some sunblock. Some people say that foot tattoos fade faster, and they might, but if you take care of it, it shouldn't fade faster than any other tattoo. I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and it still looks like new! Reply:i have a tattoo and i'm afraid i didn't put enough thought into it and i do regret it i also let some friends influence my decision when i should have stuck to my own idea of what i wanted . my partner also has some tattoos and he really regrets them. he checked with a tattoo artist about getting them fixed and it works out very expensive and you have very limited choice of what you can actually cover an original tattoo with............have a good think about it and draw your ideas (even if you not a good artist). talk with a very good tattoo artist and check out their port folio........i have seen too many people with tattoos they are not happy with
Reply:I have both of my feet really heavily tattooed and it's the best decision I ever made! I have a lot of tattoos and the ones on my feet are my favourites. My only advice would be to wear cotton socks and flat pumps that don't rub against your tattoos. They do hurt a little bit more than ones in other places but it's totally worth it. Just keep them clean of sweat and put on E45 cream regularly.
Reply:To be honest with you, I actually LOVE foot tattoos. If the right design is picked and it's in the right spot, it can look absolutely amazing! I'm interested in getting one on my foot. Right now I'm debating between one behind my neck and one behind my ear. I'm definitely going for the foot tattoo later on - I'm just gonna take my time to decide on what I want. I say go for it - only if you're %100 certain of what you want. Always make sure you have no doubts. But I think the foot tattoo would look really pretty - I know foot tattoos definitely look adorable when you're wearing sandals =)



Just think about it, look at pictures and designs and DON'T RUSH YOURSELF!

Reply:I had to laugh when I had a braclet design tattoo'd around my wrist I love and a lot of people have asked about the design(its mine) I had it done in Tahiti and the tattooist was quiet particular, an Aussie bloke came in and wanted a dolphin tattoo'd on his ankle the tattoo artist refused becuase he said it would look stupid.. I tended to agree.



But if the design and where you put it are right for you go for it and ignore everyone else, you are the one to live with it after all

Just make sure you have it done at a good, clean and safe place.



and have a good hard think and look at the type of patten you want, if you can take a picture with you too show them just what you want, it will really help them out.



a tattoo on your foot can always be covered up with socks or shoes if your not too happy with it at least it wont be on show 24/7.
